The Golden Globe awards are set for this weekend (Jan. 16th). The Best Motion Picture - Drama Catagory Has these 5 nominees:
Black Swan = Natalie Portman going crazy. Love it!
The Fighter = Mark Wahlberg, Shirtless, in a true story. Love it!
Inception = You already know how I feel about this one. Love it!!!
The Kings Speech = Collin Firth needs a speech therapist in a historical Drama. No Comment.
The Social Network = The story of the founder of Facebook. No Comment.
*Disclaimer* As of yet, I have only watched "Inception". You have been warned.
While many of these actors are some of my favorite and are giant talents in the movie industry, I am only chomping at the bit to see Black Swan and The Fighter. Just my opinion, of course, and to each his own. I will be watching on Sunday to find out what happens. So, stay tuned.

Inception
I waited until video for this movie (as I do with most movies nowadays), but it definitely wasn't necessary. I think that if I had seen "Inception" in the theater I would have been just as happy, it is totally worth the money. What a great story!
This movie has something for everyone. If you like a complicated story with a lot of twists, it delivers. If you see movies for the awesome special effects, it delivers. If you love great, believable acting, it delivers.
I may be a little biased because some of my favorite actors were also in this movie ...
Leonardo DiCaprio, who doesn't love him as an actor.
Ellen Page, so far, I have greatly enjoyed her characters.
Cillian Murphy, very multi-dimensional
I am looking forward to many more movies for many more years with these actors, they definitely will go the distance.
Also, director Christopher Nolan, is dare I say, a genius! Memento was one of my favorite movies, and if you like the newer Batman movies (I do) such as "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight", then I think we can all agree that he knows what he is doing.
In summary, if you haven't seen "Inception", see it!!!

Welcome
In case you didn't already know, I Love Movies!
Well, the stories are what I really love and seeing them come to life on that Big Screen. I saw E.T. in the theater (first release) when I was 5, and I was hooked. The reality of the characters, the action and suspense, I was glued to the screen. My love of movies continued through the years, as technology and it's advances made the experience more realistic. when I was 10, Back to the Future was released and it rocked my little world. In high school it was movies such as, The silence of the Lambs, Forrest Gump, and Pulp Fiction, that I was drawn to, and they never let me down.
Fast forward to now. I am having trouble finding current movies worth spending the money on, let alone my valuable time. Lately, when I go to the theater, I leave with a sense of regret. I don't think anyone wants to go somewhere and spend a large amount of time and money only to leave with the thought "what a waste!"
I would love to hear any suggestions and discuss any Theatrical topics. I will be posting personal reviews (not always the most current) of movies, enjoyable or not. I don't really care about actors personal lives, so that will not be a point of discussion for me. However, their portrayal of a character in a movie will always be discussed.
